AirPower BBS carries almost 1500 quality discussion forums, all of which are free of SPAM and XXX content, unlke USENET newsgroups, and, most refreshingly, with a much higher signal to noise ratio than Usenet newsgroups.  So, if you are reading the Fido LINUX Echo (forum), the messages REALLY will be about LINUX!

Here are some of the quality BBS messaging networks which we carry.

FidoNet - The world's largest amateur computer network, consists of about 25,000 BBSs (like AirPower) around the world, all connected via a proprietary protocol for the purposes of exchanging mail (discussion forums) and files.  Founded in 1984.  Over 800 conferences covering a wide range of topics.
..
Intelec - similiar to, but smaller than Fidonet.  Many Intelec BBSs carry Fidonet, many do not. About 200 conferences covering a wide range of topics.

PatriotNet - utilizes the same technology as Fidonet, but all Patriot Net echoes are focused on Patriot, freedom issues.

Paul Revere Network -  also known as PRN, the Paul Revere Network consits of about 100 BBSs which all have gun ownership, and RKBA (right to keep and bear arms) as a major focus. The best selling novel UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES by John Ross featured use of this BBS network by the novel's main character.

RIME (Relay Net) - Quality messaging network, several hundred conferences.  RIME has actually absorbed many other network so offers lots of variety.

SurvNet - this networks message groups cover all phases of Survivalism and preparedness.

Offline Mail Readers - The best way to read mail is with a QWK mail reader. Here are several to choose from.

You may also use AirPower's own version of 1st Reader, 1st-AirAfter you install it, place this key in your installation directory to unlock all of its features!
